Great product but even Greater Video on how to change it..... 05 April 2011
I ordered the lower door seal for a Bosch dishwasher which turned up on time and although looking to be a daunting job, especially as the replacement one looked different to the original 10 year old one, after viewing the "How to change the lower door seal" video on espares I followed the instructions and installed it without any problems. Many thanks for the spare part but more importantly the video without which, I would not have been able to complete the job.

Bosch dishwasher lower door seal replacement 13 February 2011
The Bosch dishwasher that I bought new in 2001 recently started intermittently leaking water from underneath the front of its door. I searched the internet for a lead on what this might be caused by, and found a number of people experiencing a similar problem, with the cause of their problem being a worn lower door seal. A search for a replacement lower door seal brought me to the espares website, where not only was the seal available at the most competitive price, but also a short film was available showing how to carry out the job! I ordered the part and it arrived promptly and very well packed. Yesterday, I put my laptop next to the dishwasher and then carried out the job of replacing the door seal with the aid of the instructional film to guide me through it. Result?...absolutely brilliant, easy to follow guidance, and now our dishwasher leaks no more! Thank you espares for such a great service. I shall definitely be recommending you to all who'll listen! The only word of advice that I can add to what other reviewers have written is that great care should be taken once the machine's door is taken apart, as there are some VERY sharp edges with the seal removed, as a couple of my fingers learned to their cost. Again, good job espares!

Very disappointed 28 September 2010
As stated above, I thought I had purchased a genuine Siemens spare part. Other than the length of the rubber it does not resemble the original part in any shape or form. The original is 115mm wide, the supplied part only 70mm The original has a wide chromed spine with secure attachment to the rubber. The fixing lugs are an integral part of the spine pressing. The supplied part has a narrow spine attaching to the rubber like a U shaped paper clip with separate fixing lugs made of flimsy PLASTIC which are just loosely pushed into the rubber. I contacted your Mr Gareth Halfpenny on 20 Sept. but his response was totally unhelpful. At this point I became ill and my wife in desperation purchased a new Bosch dishwasher with our perfectly good Siemens being consigned to the tip. Why ? Well your spare cost approx. £35 and an original from Siemens would have been the same. Siemens quoted my wife £89 call out fee and she then thought it better to buy new and avoid further breakdowns with an 'old' machine. Oh, by the way, Siemens assured me their door seal would be exactly the same as the one removed

Read all the other reveiws about fitting carefully first, they are very helpful, it seems easy to fit once you've done it, but don't rush into it.

Neff dishwasher lower door seal 06 August 2010
The door on my 10 year old Neff dishwasher was begining to leak badly. Ordered replacement seal online and had to wait an unreasonable 7 days for delivery. The plastic fittings are quite different to the original stainless steel Neff ones so it's very easy to be confused with how they fit thanks to the shockingly poor instructions which consist of a couple of crude line drawings. I found it best to hold down the spring loaded door hinge with one hand while loosely turning the top two screw fittings into place (do this left then right) then hold the door half open then slide the seal brackets between the spring-loaded door hinge and the body of the diswasher and then insert and tighten the lower screws. Now fully tighten the door hinges upper screws. If you're tackling this you'll need a helper and about an hour minimum if you are lucky and suss it out in your head!! - I am good with engineering stuff and have in the past been a fitter by trade but it still took me 3 hours due to the lack of sensible instructions and having no helper to hold the door half open.

i just got my door seal.thanks espares for the quickness of delivery,but the instructions or should i put destructions were diabolical to say the least, but having read your comments page helped,the unfortunate thing for me is that when we started putting it all back together,one of the wedges got stuck and my mates gentle tweak to loosen it resulted in the hinge arm half moon washer snapping,and so i now need another part for the dishwasher,methinks i maybe should have gone and bought a new one,instead of trying to fix this one...thanks anyway guys

Stops the leak 09 June 2010
The 10 year old siemans dishwasher developed a lak at the left side of the door. Having no idea how the thing went together, I looked at the espares web site to see if I could get any clues. The reviews of this product were clear and I decided to try the new seal rather than lash out on a new dishwasher - the new ones are not half the quality of this machine. The seal arrived promptly, but the fitting instructions were terrible - I would have been lost without the instructions in GT767's post. I had some difficulty re-fixing the hinges with the new seal located and was thankful of a second pair of hands at that time, but it worked and the leak is cured. Be careful holding the hinges open with the little holes. The spring caused the hinge to go slightly off line when being held by rods through these holes and it came away from the pivot - I had to work out how it was assembled and re-assemble the little bits of plastic before getting on with the job in hand. Possibly longish rods might be better here to hold the hinges true and avoid this difficulty. It is worth repeating others comments that this is a different design to the original seal so surprise and horror is avoided when it arrives. All in all a relatively straight forward task, assisted by a second pair of hands and that worked.
