I inadvertently threw away the hose tube for the wife`s Vax. It was haging in the garage so I thought it was redundant, so when I was clearing the garage out I threw it away! As it tutned out this hose was the one the wife used only for wet cleaning. When I realised my mistake I got on to Espares and ordered a replacement which was a good price and delivered promptly.The wife did not notice and said the hose seemed better when she used it. Phew

Vax-type hose bought to replace original on 6131 whose nozzle broke - aged 8 years. Replacement fits perfectly and is indistinguishable from the original - except it looks better.

Whilst it does the job, the metal piece of hose on the original part is not supplied fitted to the new piece,after trying to remove this from the old piece unsuccessfully, I realised it would not fit, therefore has shortened the length of the pipe to the floorpiece by approx 25cms, making it less comfortable to use.

A close replica which works fine. Downsides - the plastic end (metal on the original) does not grip the metal pipes as well and they can fall off. Also the air adjustment hole is right where one's thumb rests in use, so this can be inconvenient. Overall better than a leaky 20 year old hose (half of which now fits on an orbital sander!

Expensive piece of plastic 11 November 2013
Considering the high price of this piece of plastic the nozzle was hard to fit and kept falling off I think I have managed to ram it on now.
