Very easy to pick out and to order. Should have asked for more information because the item received was a four lug fitting and the one it replaced was a three lug fitting. I wasn't aware there were two different fittings and there is nothing in the description to indicate this. But it was my fault for not checking. Will still use this service in the future.

A close replica which works fine. Downsides - the plastic end (metal on the original) does not grip the metal pipes as well and they can fall off. Also the air adjustment hole is right where one's thumb rests in use, so this can be inconvenient. Overall better than a leaky 20 year old hose (half of which now fits on an orbital sander!

Hose replacement for Vax 2000 29 July 2012
While this is a quick and easy replacement for the vacuum part, it has not got the fitting for the carpet wash attachments. Also it has not got the metal hose end and so it is shorter/lower than the original. This is not necessarily a problem, but worth a mention if your height is a factor. Therefore, I'm not sure if 'multi-function' is an accurate description of the part.

Purchased this hose for a vax wet/dry machine I now use for dust extraction in my garage. The product arrived quickly and I am very pleased with the quality and the value for money the hose represents.
