Ask a Question

I have put it back together without the light guide but I have 1 / 3 wire plug in control panel which I cant see where it plugs in

  • It connects to the small board that connects to the large round control knob. At the top end of the board you will see small slots in the board. It clips in here. There is no socket as such as all other plugs have. If you first plug in the larger plug that is taped to this wire the resulting length of wire will guide you to the position. Answer this question

I have just replaced the light guide on my DCU8230 condenser dryer but cannot remember the order in which to reconnect the terminals of the on/off switch to the corresponding wires - unable to find tech info on this. Don't want to damage the electrics/circuit. Really frustrating - anyone help?!

Trace the two wires from the filter to the switch and connect them one to each side of the switch. With a resistance meter Stock Number: ES1583041 measure across the live and neutral and operate the switch. If you have connected the input incorrectly the switch will create a short but if no short is found connect the other two wires check again that no short occurs then retry with the power re connected.

Hi the button for start pause made a crack sound, think I pressed it a bit hard and it seems to be pushed in now. If I keep presses hard on the button it comes on so the dryer is worksing but I would say i have cracked the button - would this part be what i need to fix and if so is it easy to do?

It stands a good chance that this may be broken listening to your fault description. Examine it to confirm the damage before ordering, To dismantle disconnect and remove the top. Slide the polystyrene from the bracket on the control panel and use a flat bladed screwdriver to prise off the bracket. then remove the three control board screws and un-clip the control panel from the front. Then remove the board from the control panel.

It sounds like this is the part you require. It is made of clear plastic to transmit light to the front and to hinge the buttons between the facia and the board.
