The likely problem will be the battery and a simple multi meter can show if there is a voltage on the contacts of the charger terminals.

Answer this question

The charger has a spec of 12v, AC230v - 50Hz Output DC15V -1A, 15W. The B&D part no I think is 486910 -15. To charge a battery from a KC2000F drill/sander/jigsaw. Thanks, Peter

If your Battery will give the slightest power to your drill then it is likely to be a charger problem. The charger will normally have a non replaceable thermal fuse that will fail if it overheats.
