  Excellent alternative to genuine brand part. 14 October 2013

  Searched on the espares web site for Hoover carbon brushes for my model and located them fairly quickly. It was only when I telephoned my order, however, that I was told of a cheaper alternative. These universal brushes are exactly the same as the Hoover ones. They were very easy to fit and work perfectly. It would be useful if the web site could suggest a cheaper alternative part automatically.

  Hoover carbon brushes for model HNL 6136S 18 August 2013

  Although Espares doesn't list these carbon brushes as compatible for the Hoover washing machine mode HNL 6136S, they are. At least this is what I took off my washing machine when the brushes went and the washing machine was purchased brand new from the shop. The previous brushes have lasted 6 years. They were so easy to remove and the new brushes so easy and simple to fit. These carbon brushes fit this model perfectly.

  Easy purchase from beginning to end! 23 July 2013

  Used the live chat facility to order the correct product for my washer. Ed was fantastic!   Review of fitting brush holders to Candy Washing Machines 04 November 2010

  This information will vary depending on motor type fitted. The brush holders come with spade connector adapters which can be used or not if the the motor is fitted with the small type and the holders the large ones, this results in the connections protruding out beyond the holders, not ideal! The holders themselves fit ok on the motor but if your brushes require replacing then your commutator is probably worn reducing the area of contact. Ideally you should bed them in using very fine sandpaper wrapped around the commutator and make a back and forward movement to make the brush profile the same as the commutator, repeat on the other brush and remove carbon dust. You will find this quite difficult due to the small size of the commutator. Check the rotor rotates freely and the brushes are not noisy. Refit the motor and test.
