  POOR QUALITY 14 August 2011

  This is my third heavy duty strimmer cover. It looks the same as the last two. I was hoping it might have been modified by now. It has a design fault in that the plastic that is in contact with the heave duty line is worn away by the line when in use producing a sharp edge. This sharp edge then breaks new lines very quickly. Do not buy this strimmer for the heavy duty feature. I will be very wary of any B & D products in future.

  DESIGN FAULT 26 June 2011

  Previous cap had to be replaced as cord cut through plastic making hole for cord too large; resulting in cords snapping. Used the new cap twice but already signs of cutting.

  Agree with previous review that Black & Decker should reinforce this part. 24 June 2011

  Product easy to fit and so could carry on with strimming large area of rough grass at bottom of my garden. Do think that Black & Decker could reinforce this item and people would be prepared to pay little extra for it. However, this is only the first replacement I have had to buy in approx. 3 years so not bad.
