  There was a problem with one of two items I bought, the item was faulty. I called up and espares immediately sent out a replacement, no questions, and posted material to send the faulty one back. First class service in my view.

  The filter works fine and the water tastes good. I must admit, however, that it only worked on the second unit tried. The first filter seemed unable to seal on the discharge side and so I was soaked by the time I had had several goes at it. Fortunately espares replaced the first filter without quibble (for which I am very grateful) and the second unit worked fine first go. So I am hoping it was a one-off problem.

  New Style Samsung Water Filter 29 July 2013

  I have recently been using compatible filters because of the high cost of originals. As there were no compatibles available, I bought a couple of these new Samsung ones. I feel that the price is rather on the high side. My other concern is the new system they've adopted for holding the hoses in place ( a sort of circlip) - doesn't really fill me with confidence, I keep having a look at the filter to make sure it's not leaking. Otherwise I'm quite sure that as they are made by Samsung, they must be good.
