Product Q&A

Ask a Question

Cycle carries on indefinitely as, I guess the washer is waiting to reach temperature. How do I check if it is probe, heater element or controller?

By Wesa - Canterbury - 19 October 2011
  • This problem could be as a result of a faulty power module. There has been a product recall on this for some models. Contact 0800 023 4881 with your full model number and serial number to check if your appliance is subject to the recall as the module may be replaced free of charge if it is one affected. Answer this question

It will complete the cold rinse cycle but cuts out part way through the hot cycles, I therefore suspect that it may be comething to do with the heating element or the switch mechanism that switches on the heating element. When it cuts out it trips the electricity supply.

Hi Nige, seeing as the dishwasher is tripping the mains fuse, there's obviously a surge happening at some point in the dishwasher's electronic circuit. I'd recommend checking the PCB, element and thermostat with a multimeter to see which part is damaged.

Hi, I can't tell you for sure what's causing just the one spray arm to malfunction. I'd recommend making sure all tubing leading from the water inlet to the spray arm is aligned. Check for blockages too. With regard to the water not heating up, I'd say if it's not a problem with the element, it could well be the motor is not functioning properly and not pumping all the water it should be. Hope this helps!

Hi Cchristof Without actually seeing your dishwasher, it is impossible to tell what is causing this problem. What I would advise is talking to your local dishwasher specialist and they should be able to diagnose the problem for you. And that's where we come in! With thousands of dishwasher spares, we're bound to have the part for you.

Answer this question

Bosch Classixx Electronic. Wash cycles have gone cold. Did a continuity test in situ with leads removed and got a reading. Not an electrician. New part expensive at 120 quid so exploring all avenues of possibility before replacing. 2005 model but plate unreadable.
