My old control was well used and as such quite a lot of the time did not "control" the HD+box.Now that I've the new remote my digibox which I thought was on the blink is just like a new one !Glad I purchased the remote-saved me a lot of dosh.

Half the price elsewhere, manufactured by Philips, the action of the buttons better than the original, little more to say than don't hesitate this is NOT a cheaply made product just order and enjoy in the knowledge this is a bargain!

An exact replacement of the broken handset which worked "straight from the box" after fitting batteries. One minor problem was connecting to my HD box as the old code didn't work. A quick call to Sky,the appropriate code entered and all was well. Cost and delivery unbeatable. I have used e-spares before and will not hesitate to use them again in future.

Renewed our Sky HD box last October, and soon discovered how poor quality the latest remotes are, the last one (with the old Thomson HD box) lasted around three years before becoming 'unusable'. Some months after using the new HD box I complained to Sky and received a new remote. Wasn't long before the new one became annoying - same old 'spongy' buttons, poor response etc. However, at least it was free. So I decided to purchase a 'spare' from here as the price was half what a lot of others are charging. One customer review I read suggested that these remotes were made by Philips and seemed better quality than the Sky ones, well mine is exactly the same - no better, no worse. Sky really should get a grip and restore the quality of their remotes to what they used to be. So to sum up, these remotes from eSpares are a very good price, but don't expect them to be any different to the very poor quality ones supplied by Sky.
