Hotpoint Door Seal 12 November 2013
Door seal arrived promptly and well packaged. Followed online video which was really helpful and fitted the seal in half an hour. It took longer to get machine out and clean behind it etc. than it did to replace door seal. Much cheaper than buying new machine which was spouses other option!!!!

We sealed the leak 01 November 2012
The seal was delivered promptly and was a really good fit. The video instructions on the website were very helpful. Not sure we could have figured out what to do nearly so quickly without this. The age of my machine made it a bit more difficult to remove the old seal and refit the new seal than the video!!

Ok so my Hotpoint machine was leaking from underneath onto the floor, I searched the net for answers and came across the very helpful espares videos on the internet. Watching the video on how to change a door seal lead me to find a split on my seal at ten o clock. A new one was ordered and arrived the next day. The new seal was fitted by me whilst watching the video, it's a bit fiddly in some parts probably due the seal being new and not wanting to stay put while I fed it onto the drum but other than that I got it fitted ok in the end. I filled the drum with a few jugs of water to test for leaks then ran it through a rinse cycle, all was well with the new seal, no leaks. A day later though the problem returned and after following more video advice the problem was traced to a leaky dispenser draw, this I hope has now been fixed with a home made silicone gasket.

Part was exactly right for job, but hard to fit 03 June 2012
Eventually I remembered that lubricating the rubber helps so used fairy liquid - hope it doesn't dissolve the rubber, but it sure made fitting the part easy. Would have been good to have instructions suggesting it!

Quite easy for most people to fit 15 November 2011
Used the 'how to' video, made fitting very easy even on a different brand of machine to the one used. took me 45 mins from start to finish, standard delivery was a bit slow (5 days) if you have kids better to pay extra for next day. well worth giving it a go if you have a mouldy seal.

It took my husband and me about 2 hours to do this - his fingers were too big for some of the jobs and I didn't have the strength to move the machine around. As far as the fitting was concerned we spent a lot of time trying to get the bottom flap of the seal into what looked like a corresponding hole in the drum but then realised we didn't need to do that. Consequently the funnel shaped drainage "dimple" in the seal is not at the 6 o'clock position as it should be. However the speed of delivery, the excellent video and our persistence gave my mother a working machine in an afternoon and saved her a huge call-out fee - thanks eSpares!

easy to order,and a quckly delivered. As the seal didn't have fitting instructions I was able to find detail elsewhere. but found it easy to install with husband interferring!!

If your original seal looks like this, don't buy the cheaper one even though it is said to be a replacement, as it doesn't fit that well especially around the door.
