  Washing Machine Door Seal 25 April 2014

  Followed the e spares Utube video (which was very helpful) however after fitting the seal found the washing machine door would not catch on to lock, took the seal off and refitted it only to find the door catch wil still not work, (I had read about this probem on the cheaper version of this seal too- so went for the dearer genuine option) overall was a waste of time.

  New seals will make it more difficult to close the door and some additional pressure will be needed until the seal 'moulds' into shape with use. This is normal.

  your web site and ease of ordering was excellent, but sadly the information was incorrect as to fit the door seal it was necessary to take the top off the w/machine - which proved impossible and Indesit/Hotpoint refused to give me any assistance due to "health and safety" as to how to get the top of the machine. So the part is unusable.
