How bad a DIY person are you? 22 October 2012
The product is a perfect replica of the old one, so I can't fault it or the quality or the price. However, I couldn't fit it myself and ended up calling someone else to do it for me. I am sure this is due to my incompetence. However, the video on the website is for a different type of spring and that did not help as had no idea how it went back together. I advise anyone else to take the handle apart slowly, paying attention and taking photographs particularly of the spring! That or just call out someone in the first place... You also need a specific screwdriver to undo the star/torx screws, so I had to get one of those as well as did not have this type of screwdriver.

Great product, but fiddly 03 October 2012
Having the video was a blessing. DO take pictures of your door before dismantling. It is very confusing that the spring on the door was different from the one supplied, that is different from the one in the video. That took a long time to figure out. But all works well and much cheaper than an engineer or a new machine.

Not so easy to fit for a novice 16 September 2012
After purchasing the replacement handle spares for my hoover washer and watching the demo of 'how to fit online' it became apparant that the replacement spring sent was slightly different to the one viewed on the demo, but after a scratch to the head and a number of attempts to fit it it did the job effectively!!!!

Hoover washing machine door handle 25 August 2012
This product was a good replacement for our broken handle but difficult to fit, as I didn't look carefully enough at how the old one was fitted. Please take the advice of the other customer and take photos of your old handle before taking it apart. We ended up buying a whole new door in the end (with the handle already fitted) - much easier to replace.

door handle for washing machine saved me a packet on getting someone in. would have been nice if it had been supplied with a drawing as to how spring fitted. lesson learned :- take pictures with your phone before removing old parts.

PRODUCT WAS AS EXPECTED AND ARRIVED QUICKLY HOWEVER THE VIDEO TO FOLLOW ON THE INTERNET WAS SHOWN VERY QUICKLY ON A NEW MACHINE AND THE SPRING WAS NOT THE SAME AS THE ONE I ORDERED SO TOOK A LONG TIME TO WORK OUT THE CORRECT WAY TO INSTALL.HAD TO TRY SEVERAL WAYS BUT GOT THERE IN THE END.

Left my husband to do the fitting. He should have followed the video advice to photograph positioning before removing old parts!! Did manage in the end though & admitted it should have been easy.

some trouble fitting - not the spare parts fault - I just found it difficult - part appeared to be exact replacement for original, although grey in colour not white - did not matter as is concealed
