  Poor Design 29 January 2013

  This is the third replacement shelf I have bought in the last 5 years and this is becoming a joke. Every previous shelf has failed by cracking across a corner. In my opinion the shelf is poorly designed as it always seems to crack in one corner where stresses are concentrated. This is the manufacturer's fault and not eSpares - but have eSpares had other complaints and have they referred them to the manufucturer (Ignis). If it were not for the fact that the fridge itself has been reliable, I would have changed it for another make or model with a better designed bottle shelf. I have added my own design improvement to the latest shelf by fixing a support strip below the shelf to reduce the stress levels at the corner where cracking occurs. Time will tell if this has helped!
