This adequately connected the 2 sections of hose once I had worked it out. Basic instructions would have been helpful. I had expected a connector which the 2 hoses could screw into, which was not the case. However this seemed to be reasonably good value.

Best coupler ever 02 April 2013
I bought the vent hose connector which is now joined to my old original vent hose and it fitted quite easily by starting the wire part of the vent hose and trying to screw and pushing it onto the connector, when you have about three strands of wire plus the outside of the sleaving up against the connector you can put three of the plastic fasteners into the three holes so when the pipe tries to come off the three strands of wire go against the pins.then you do exactly the same with the 3 Metre Extention Hose, ( Thats if you bought one ). I would certainly recomend this Item /Items.

Does the job, but be prepared for a wrestling match getting the hose ends over the connector. Also maybe a good idea to clear any children out of the way as there could be some choice language as you fight with what seems like two slippery snakes. The method of securing the hoses to the connector (6 snap pins pushed through the hose) seems a bit suspect; fully expecting the hose to tear at these attachment points with little use - time will tell. Connector could have been better designed - but then would likely cost more.
