  Now whole main oven doesn't work 03 December 2014

  Purchased this as everything was working in my Neff oven apart from the element wasn't getting hot. Easy to fit but when I turned the oven back on now nothing works, the fan has stopped turning and the grill even doesn't work!

  Disappointing 20 December 2013

  Having watched the video on how to fit (including how to diagnose the problem i.e. which part needs replacing) and observing the ease of fitting this component into our Neff oven, I was looking forward to once again being able to cook using my oven. However once fitted the oven only heats up to luke-warm not enough to cook by, even after 10-15 minutes of being on. After the original element blew, I was still able to use the grill but after fitting the new element this function has now stopped also. This is clearly very frustrating and dissappointing. It seems as if there is insufficient power getting to the element to heat it to a high enough "cooking" temperature, even though it is fitted as shown in the video and the part is advertised to be suitable for our Neff oven.

  Your problem may now be due to a faulty thermostat. Most ovens have a temperature indicating lamp that lights when the oven is first switched on and goes off as it reaches the set temperature. If this light goes off prematurely before the set temperature is reached then it is a faulty thermostat that is turning it off.

  Save your moeny and buy a proper one 11 August 2013

  I've had several of these now and my last one only managed 3 months before needing replacement. They're a false economy - just buy the proper one and stop being a cheapskate like me! You'll save money in the long run.

  No earth tag - could be dangerous 28 November 2012

  After looking at the video buying the element and fitting it seemed a good idea at the time. How wrong can you be. 1. Taking the element cover off was difficult. The screw heads had been turned when fitted and were now corroded but I managed it with a bit of persistence and a new screw driver. 2. The three screws holding in the element were even worse and would not budge. After trying various types of expensive releasing oils over a month I gave up and called in a cooker repair guy. 3. He had to drill the screws out (no simple job) and got the element out which had an earth tag connected. 4. The espares element had no earth tag so he had to fit one. The video makes the fitting of this element look a lot simpler than it really is and should warn that the screws may not be easy to remove. Also the cooker had an earth but the element didn't. I'm not sure I would have notice had I fitted it. Shouldn't a compatible element be compatible? The cooker guy only fitted the element 30 mins ago so I can't comment on element quality. What I do know is that taking into account the cost of new screw driver, releasing oils and the cooker guy it would have been cheaper and far quicker (it took about an hour) to get him to provide the element and fit it from the start.

  Looks Good 26 November 2012

  A simple part to replace as sizing and line up of screw holes were accurate. The Element looks and feels like it is well made. The information and explanation on your video on fitting is also very good. I cannot give a qaulity rating on looks and feel alone, but if it lasts for a decent length time, I would definitely give it five stars.

  Dissapointing element 27 September 2011

  Bought one of these on 11 august 2011 and it blew on 26 september 2011 .Have ordered another one if this fails I will be in touch
