  Disappointed 02 July 2014

  I ordered for my Bosch oven as it was considerably cheaper than the Bosch part but it only lasted 18 months. It was easy to fit and was delivered promptly. Just ordered a replacement and I'm hoping this one lasts a lot longer!

  Generic part a lot cheaper than original. Fitted one just over a year ago, so didn't last that long. Will go for genuine part if this one doen't last very long.

  To help prevent damage to a fan element turn the thermostat down to minimum for thirty seconds before switching off. Switching straight off stopping the circulation fan immediately when the element is hot can cause overheating and damage the element as the circulating air stops.

  Did the job 06 January 2014

  Fitting was not too bad but the replacement part did not have the earthing tag of the original so had to improvise with a made up piece so not exactly a direct replacement part

  As explained in the product description due to current british standards this element is earthed through the cavity lining and does not require the additional earth contact.

  Good enough, and better than calling an engineer 07 November 2013

  I'd far rather fit one of these myself than call in an engineer. On the negative side though, it didn't quite fit initially. The slot at the opposite end to the terminals didn't quite cover the screw hole in the oven (NEFF). I had to file the slot to make it about 1 mm longer before I could get the screws in straight. Other than that, I'm hoping that this one lasts a lot longer than the 3 years the previous one I bought from here (exact same model) managed. I'm happy to give eSpares the benefit of the doubt but I'll be disappointed if I have to come back for another one.

  Second one 15 August 2013

  I fitted this a couple of years ago to my Neff fan oven, so was surprised when it blew again, but it could've been a faulty one so have just ordered and fitted another, I shall hope for the best. Prompt order from Espares, and its good how you can track the order on the day, good service.

  Universal 2300 Watt Fan Oven Element 13 August 2013

  I checked the model number of my Neff cooker against the ones that this product fits prior to ordering. Whilst this element can be made to fit (it's the right size and shape with all its holes in the right place) it has only two terminals and the element it is supposed to replace has three. This left a loose earth wire which would trip an RCD until I found a way to insulate it. Packaging was very good and element arrived without any damage.

  Some manufacturers earth the fan element via the mounting plate which is screwed to the cavity and consider this sufficient. Others use an additional earth connection. we always recommend to connect a component as per the manufacturers method.

  Only lasted 15 months 28 July 2013

  This is the 2nd identical cooker element purchased for e-spares within 15 months, for the same cooker. They are very easy to fit, and work well, - to start with. This new element replaced an identical part purchased from e-spares for my Neff built-in cooker around 15 months ago. The information said the part is compatible with cooker, but doesn't really indicate how long such 'compatible' parts are expected to last. Whilst I didn't expect the part to last 5+ years, I did expect 2-3 years from it. Perhaps I'd try a genuine NEFF part next time. I think 15 months is too short. It is, of course, cheaper than paying a repair man, as mostly they use compatible parts anyway.

  Cheap but short life 14 May 2013

  This element tempted me because it was a lot cheaper than the manufacture’s part but unfortunately it only lasted 15 months. I’ve still ended up buying the more expensive manufacture’s element in the hope that it will last longer. On the bright side I already know how to fit the new one (it is easy with the video to watch).

  Lasted just under 12 months 13 May 2013

  Bought this item to replace the original Neff item, the pattern part from here lasted just under 12 months. That doesn't sound very long to me.... Ordering another one now. Will write another review in about 12 months I guess.
