  Would have given this a perfect score had the thermostat sensor wire not been twice as long as it needed to be. The space available for the coiled spare made it a very tight fit to get the housing back on, otherwise a very simple fit.

  Thermostat for Whirlpool ARC0900 31 December 2013

  Like mentioned in other reviews for this thermostat it was too long compared to the original. It was fiddly to coil up the excess behind the thermostat body. One of the spade terminals was too big (original has one small spade to ensure correct connections). However the kit came with several spades so it was easy enough to replace. Fridge works fine now.

  Good quality thermostat 29 January 2013

  Looks like it fits many models , thin tube is too long for the whirlpool fridge/freezer I have . So had to coil excess behind light housing , which made it fiddely to fit . Took a while to work out fixing screw for housing was accessed by pulling out the light switch door plunger , then slide housing sideways .

  Fridge thermostat replacement 22 September 2010

  It was quite awkward to remove the control knob and housing in order to access the old thermostat. Once this was done it was easy to replace the old thermostat with the new one. However, the sensor probe was longer than the original, and had to be looped around the thermostat in order to fit. The fridge/freezer is now working correctly.
