very flimsy.one corner section cracked as soon as we tried to assemble it. Kept jumping out of place on washer top.

Misleading description 23 November 2010
This product is described as a Universal Washer/Dryer Stacking kit. It is nothing of the sort. It is merely a cover to hide the interface between the two component parts. It offers no structural benefit to the new configuration whatsoever, which in my view is misleading with the use of the term "stacking kit".

cheep bits of metal no clarity where the insufficient foam padding goes and the spring to hold it together too weak for the job so broke - had to buy a different type seperatly

Simply put do not buy this product it's potentially lethal. the flimsy clips pop apart, the spring works free, I wouldn't use this if my life depended on it. Waste of money.

Stacked my old electra dryer on top of my new Miele washer with this kit. Much cheaper than one from Miele. Only slight problem was that it had to be put on back to front otherwise unable to open detergent drawer on washer but still works fine. Very good value.

Works well but fit poor 13 May 2009
Bought this kit to mount a Aquarius dryer on top of Aquarius washer. It is fiddly to get fitted but does retain the washer when assembled. The main problem is that the Aquarius has a curved front and as the kit frame is square it does not look very good (my fault for having curved units!). Also white of frame is creamy when compared to washer/dryer (again always difficult to match whites). If buying again I would go for Manufacturers specific kit even though a lot more expensive.

Not as expected 05 February 2009
Having fitted the washer/dryer stacking unit as per the instructions I was disappointed that it actually does almost nothing. Apart from the spring at the back I can remove the unit with the dryer on top of the washer.

Personally I don't think this is very safe , If the top item is pushed the unit spreads outwards and the units comes apart. I made a aluminium brace for mine and replaced the spring. It is now a safe unit.

Not convinced. 15 February 2011
I was concerned that when the washer spins the dryer might be dislodged off the top of it so I hoped this could be prevented with the stacking kit. This kit has 3 very shallow sides which barely overlap the appliances and a thin 'sprung' wire to span the gap at the rear. The wire is difficult to fit and sprang off several times during the attempt so I'm not convinced it will hold when the washer's spinning, especially when the spring starts to lose its tension with natural fatigue.
