  They do the job…just ! 21 July 2016

  I bought 5 of these knobs to replace the originals on a Siemens hob of which 3 had broken over the years. I didn't expect these knobs to look as good as the originals but I expected them to be of decent quality. Instead they were of low quality. It took around 2 hours to accurately cut the universal adaptors to the exact length to make them look reasonable. They were a loose fit on the spindles so I had to glue them on.

  Needed for replacement 24 March 2016

  Delighted when I found the product on you site as I was told I couldn't get replacement so when I saw the cooker knobs I had to have them, when I received them, I opened the package and they were fitted in seconds, nice and easy hassle free, only negative I've got is that one is slightly loose fitting but still better than a pair of pliers. So happy customer.

  Not quite Universal. 14 March 2016

  Nice knobs. But not entirely universal as I discovered. The actual fitting sizes are not specified in the description - it would help if they were. In fact they are designed to fit the traditional 1/4" (6.25 mm) D-shaped control spindles that have been the standard for radio set knobs for close on 100 years. There is also a fitting for the larger 8 mm size. But the cunning German manufacturers of my AEG gas hob had decided to use a spindle size of 6.20 mm so that the knobs slopped about loose. So I spent most of a day looking through my scrap boxes to find a sliver of plastic 0.05 mm thick to pack them out. Then if you have a gas cooker you will not be able to use the short insert fittings supplied as there will be no room to push the knob down to clear the safety catch built into the tap. So you will need to cut a piece of the long adaptor supplied, measuring the correct length carefully, to stand the knob far enough off from the panel. Have I lost you yet ? Nice knobs - but you might need to be able a hacksaw and a file to get a nice tidy working result. Oh, and one more thing. The splined fittings are not quite lined up correctly so that you can't get the knob to point exactly at the "off" mark on the panel. Not disastrous, but a bit disappointing. Have fun ! At least these are a lot cheaper than buying the manufacturer's own replacements at more than three times the price.

  Good to have in the spares bag 09 March 2016

  As this knob is so adaptable I can carry in my spares bag for when I come across damaged cooker knobs so that they are still safe to use, permanently or temporarily until the to type knobs can be ordered.

  Disappointing 29 February 2016

  The knobs when fitted were found to be very loose, so will come off very easily when used. Also the splines were positioned so that the pointer did not point straight up in the off position. I will probably replace with original knobs.
