  Although the item was of good quality and design, being dimpled on one side , customers should be advised that if it does not fit and needs re-sizing you need someone experienced in cutting plastic, to do it.

  Added to the expanding oven shelf to complete the job. 10 July 2012

  I used the expanding oven shelf to make a new shelf for our Miele fridge but it has 2 large gaps so have fitted the perspex sheet on top which fills the gaps on the oven shelf but supports the perspex firmly. The combination of the 2 work excellently thank you! (The shelf is not available from Miele nor yourselves)

  very pleased with a new shelf 11 June 2012

  Overall I am pleased with this shelf and the extra space. I was given an old fridge, which was missing the glass shelf and being an old fridge a replacement shelf was not available. I cut the shelf to shape with an electric jigsaw. When I used a fine blade, the heat generated melted the plastic and stuck it back together - a coarse blade worked better. The shelf is fairly bendy. We store jars, water bottles and heavy items and it is a bit bendy - more so than the glass one it would have replaced. A piece of edging might be helful? Overall very pleased. I think it is fairly expensive for a piece of plexiglass, but better value than buying a new fridge!
