Not good for the job 07 May 2013
I am afraid they are not strong enough for the job, putting a few items on the shelves they would bow badly. To date it has not broken but it looks like it will. I think it should be supplied with a front edge strip to help support it.

easy to cut with normal saw (10 mins) - covered with protective film that avoids scratches & dirt while you do this. Slight bowing when installed if put heavy objects (eg bottles) on it.

Being unable to source salad crisper 'plexiglass' came to the rescue.cut required size with tenon saw in less than 5 mins.Job done well chuffed.

Although I was slightly apprehensive about how well the shelf would cut, in fact it was very straightforward. It cut very neatly and easily with a tenon saw. I simply smoothed off the cut with a light application of sandpaper - but make sure to avoid applying the sandpaper to the surface as it will leave scratch marks!

NOT SUITABLE FOR MARKET 13 February 2013
This product is one sheet of Plexiglass which is NOT cut to size. It is not suitable for anyone who does not have a suitable electric saw. It took me 2 hours to cut it to size in 2 directions with a tenon saw. The dimensions had to be within 2mm. Then it had to be gently levered into the frame ERF384. The glass should be supplied ready cut and fitted in the frame.

Purchased to replace broken glass shelf. It is a little flimsier than glass but with the plastic strip from the original fridge on the edge it makes it more sturdy and once in place it has not been an issue in any way. Does the job we wanted it for!
