  good replacement for the more expensive official filter 17 February 2015

  I bought this as the filter for my Dyson was black with dust. You can't wash the motor filters like you can the filter for the vacuum itself so replacement is the only option. Our Dc04 is quite old and I bought this cheaper non branded filter to save a few pennies. The filter is thinner and but is a bigger diameter than the official one but it still squeezed in and after a quick spin seems to be holding fine. The reason I didn't give this top marks was due to the size difference to the official one. But for the money you can't really go wrong.

  A Must for All 28 October 2014

  Changed this filter, not even knowing it was inside the base of my dyson until I came on espares for another part. Immediately the suction improved tremendously, lifting the carpets. Best buy yet!

  Indistinguishable from the "genuine" Dyson filter - except less than half the price! This the one you can't wash, and a good idea to change at least twice a year for continuing good suction.

  The filter supplied is oversized and had to be crammed into the filter housing. I suspect it will not be as efficient as a Dyson made spare part and I guess this is a consequence of being about a third of the price.
