  Simple can be best! 09 April 2014

  The replacement timer is of a much newer design than the 15/20 year old version it replaced. Removing the fitting for the old unit can be a problem. WD40 and a small hammer will sort out the problem. The connections for the wiring don't match old to new. It's not hard to work out with a meter.

  New toaster for old 24 March 2014

  Although the toaster is less than 5 years old no trace of model number was found on either the manufacturers or e-spares site. Took a chance on timer that appeared similar to that requiring replacement and easily fitted and now as good as new, excellent value and helpful tips on website as always.

  Perfect replacement 10 January 2014

  I bought a replacement toaster timer for my Dualit (2 slot) toaster as the old one kept sticking causing at best burnt toast and at worst a clear risk of a fire hazard. The genuine replacement part works perfectly. Super easy to fit, included the screws (etc.) that were needed. It seemed expensive, but then seeing as it has turned my 7 year Dualit into a brand new working toaster again - which would be considerably more to replace - it's worth it. Aside from the actual product - the espares service and buying experience was great too.

  It worked 14 October 2013

  My toaster was burning toast, then the timer began to stick completely. I found two timers on eSpares, one "genuine" Dualit, which did not include my model in the list, and a "replacement" which did, although both looked identical to the other. I purchased the replacement, it arrived the next day, took a couple of minutes to fit, and hey presto problem fixed. If the replacement lasts longer than the original, which was not long, I will further praise eSpares and complain to Dualit.

  Dualit 4 slot toaster timer replacement 14 October 2013

  A simple task if you have basic DIY skills. Fitted first time, worked first time. A practical tip: mark up on a piece of paper, the layout of the terminals on the new timer and which colour cables go to which terminal - so when you are working with the timer inside the body of the toaster you can ensure you have it right wires connected to the right terminal. Lots of website show the wiring configuration.

  Providing you are sure that it is the timer that has failed, this is a very easy replacement - ten minutes max. It is better to reuse the existing spade connectors, rather than fit the new ones that come with the replacement timer. If the old connectors are very dirty give then a clean with emery paper to make sure you get a good connection

  Easy as pie 14 September 2013

  This was a very simple replacement which will, hopefully, give me another 10 years of toast from my Dualit toaster. The part arrived very quickly and my only quibble is the ridiculous size of the box it was sent in. Talk about overkill, it was the size of a telephone directory for a box the size of a large box of matches!
