As simple as toast! 15 May 2013
Replacement timer arrived very quickly and the installation was very simple. Only required a phillips screw driver. Unplug the toaster from the mains; Remove the bottom plate from the toaster; Remove the setting knob on the old timer; Remove the timer fastening screw; Remove the 4 slide on electrical contacts (note where they go or take a photo for reference with your phone); Pull out the old timer. Reverse the steps with the replacement timer and you're done. Took me no more than 10 minutes from start to finish. Note: the 4 slide on electrical contacts that came with the switch were not needed. Very please with the service from eSpares and the simplicity of the replacement. Probably saved twice the cost of the replacement timer in labour costs from Dualit to have it mended by them.

Genuine part, easy to fit with only a screwdriver, but it is worth taking the extra time and removing the end housing fully not just the base plate.

Genuine parts provided, doddle to fit, works like a charm. Fast delivery on standard tariff, well packaged. Don't forget to photo the position of the contacts prior to removing the old one, it will save time and any nagging doubts.

If your timer starts sticking on a Dualit toaster it's really dangerous as there is no automatic cut off. Not espares fault but these things are pricey. (Found latter best price/service). Effecting the repair yourself and I'm not a natural "fixer" of things is relatively easy - so you can, with little trouble, save yourself some cost. Access through bottom of toaster. Just take a picture on your phone or draw a diagram, if you are at all worried about remembering which wire clips where.

Delivery was prompt. Fitting was rendered easier by having taken a photo of the one that was in there originally BEFORE it was removed! May I recommend this to you because there are several different coloured leads that need to go back in the right place and a photo made this a lot easier than trial and error...!
