  Not easy to fit 23 July 2018

  After quoting the model of my indesit oven when ordering this item I found that the fan spindle was about a centimeter too long making it impossible to refit the fan guard unless I used spacers and longer screws. This does affect the temperature settings. Universal spares do not work.

  Spacing problem 26 February 2018

  Despite being a 'match' for this appliance, spacers were needed when fitting. Took longer than expected. Fan worked ok.

  Wrong size 21 February 2018

  Shaft was too long, so fan blade touched cover at back of oven. Had to put spacers behind cover and use longer screws to fit cover to back of oven. This part was supposed to be a direct replacement on Hotpoint BD32B

  Doesn't fit Baumatic Megachef4m without considerable work 24 January 2016

  I purchased this for my Baumatic Megachef4m oven, but it is not an easy replacement job, and required me to take both old and new motors apart, and to use parts from both. That said, the fan is now turning again, but I'm not looking forward to the next time I have to replace the fan!

  Does not fit Hotpoint DH53X 23 December 2014

  2 issues. 1) unit sits offset compared to unit in my oven therefore Earth cable quite stretched. Not possible to change the spade to reduce tension on cable. 2) spindle is too long so fan protrudes out and cover plate over fan and element does not fit. However an easy diy job - just need a second pair of hands to ensure you don't drop the oven.

  Unfortunately a disappointed customer 05 July 2014

  Very disappointed that its screw holes were in the wrong places, although I gave you the specific make and model, and was assured your product would fit. So the engineer who fitted it took 2 hrs to adapt to fit and as a result his labour costs were much more than I bargained for! It now works fine. He says I may need a heating element in the near future, and hope that it will fit. Delivery time excellent.

  Unsuitable for De Dietrich DOP740 oven 12 June 2014

  This fan has a shorter spindle, different mounting plate and higher wattage (32 instead of 25 for original). I managed to make it fit by drilling new holes in the mounting plate and fitting spacers between the plate and the motor spider mount. Works very well and is a cheap good quality alternative but I would recommend getting the De Dietrich original spare.

  Poor product 31 December 2013

  This product is not a direct replacement as it requires three screws (not supplied) to attach as the existing screws are too long. Also the shaft is 1mm too short and requires a packing washer to be fitted behind the fan blade.

  Is this really the best part? 08 October 2013

  Not too sure how to respond as the item has been made to work, though I am still sure it is the wrong part. It is advertised within the website as the part for the job, but it seems to spin the "wrong" way. Havd to sort out a casing problem which was not unexpected. Oven is working so it is OK, but I am uncertain as to the eventual effect on the element if it spins the wrong way around. Service from the company thouigh has been top notch.

  Couldn't fault the service, quality and value for money but I took "universal" to mean what it said, a mistake - the spindle was too long
