Thought we'd have to buy a whole new cooker, but as shirt-buttons still aren't legal currency, we attempted the fix the oven ourselves. Was almost exactly the same fan as from our Elba oven, only difference was the positioning of the fixing holes - nothing that a quick drilling couldn't sort out. Oven now works better than it has in years!

Good value replacement 20 May 2011
Used to replace a Smeg, SP9000X fan which had gone open circuit. Only problem was original mounting screws would not fit, so slightly larger replacements were sourced.

Wasn't sure this was the only issue, but £20 vs £350+ new unit was a fair risk..... Slowly approached the replacement, taking time to get it right and issue sorted all ok.... Hopefully a few more years use.... Always good

Fan seems better quality compared with faulty Fan.Only problem was I had to drill new holes in Oven Housing as existing holes not in line with those on Universal Fan.But overall very pleased with product and delivery and sevice from sSpares excellent as usual

A few minor bits of tweeking and it fitted ok, took about 45mins. Worth the money spent

Saved me buying a new oven, so saved a lot of money 25 May 2011
Old fan had packed up and I was about to buy a new oven. Looked for correct part but no spares outlets had it. Found universal one on your website, so took a chance on it fitting as it was only £20. Unit fits fine with the use of spacers to get the gap right. Oven now working like new again So, very pleased and thanks very much.
