Good, but difficult to fit! 05 January 2015
Although this oven fan motor is sold as a universal fit the shaft was about 1cm longer than the original causing the fan to foul the backplate. I had to make distance pieces to give required clearance. However this motor was a third of the price of the original.....so worth the effort.

Had to drill new holes in oven to fit and didn't work at first but after loosening screws it works now!

Be aware that this fan does not fit a Hotpoint EW81N Oven. It does appear in the list of compatible parts but it does not fit as the spacing of the 3 mounting screws differ. espares very efficient in processing the return and suggesting alternative fan.

Excellent time response but useless component 06 February 2014
Unfortunately the fan was not compatible with the model I have despite your website indicating that it should have been. The spindle was about 20mm too short. I managed to doctor it by cutting the end of the spindle off the old motor and making a connecting sleeve from the old dome nut. I then glued the assembly using Araldite. It is working but I cannot imagine that an oven technician would have achieved a working result. Perhaps the term 'universal' is mis-applied !

Ok, but spindle too long for my cooker 31 December 2013
We purchased this based upon guidance from the e-spares web site as it was supposed to fit my oven. A Hotpoint BD52K/2. It did fit except the shaft was too long, and fitting the same as the original meant the fan fouled on the cover inside the oven. We did some basic measurements and decided it was 8mm too long. Using washers to space the motor back and a large penny washer to keep the heat shield in place, all worked ok.

Neff Universal Fan Motor 20 November 2013
Extremely difficult to remove old fan as blade would not come off, got to a point of no return and had to use grinder. New fan infringed backplate overheat sensor which had to be repositioned, therefore not as universal as stated

"Universal" fitting problem. 05 October 2013
Mounting bracket attached to motor had to be exchanged with removed item and original rotor needed to be used as the spindle was longer than the replacement. Not unduly difficult but required some expertise.

Seemed dead easy. Then found the old motor doesn't screw in. At the moment I've secured it on with three screws from the outer casing but will need to find replacements for them.

Fan not fitting 21 May 2015
The fan unit is good quality but the fan spindle is longer than original, meaning I either have no internal cover fitted or a lash up with spacers required. The fan is further into oven & cover does not fit over!
