The trouble with generic 18 December 2016
Does not fit Indesit FIMD23BKS - shaft is too long. Had to put spacers on fan guard - lost 1/2 inch of oven space.

I ordered this Fan motor and a heater at 12 o'clock Friday, paid top price delivery, but was amazed they both arrived first thing Saturday morning, obviously needed cooker asap. so paying a couple of quid extra for next day Saturday delivery was worth it. Unfortunately Fan spindle was 20mm longer than original, so had to pack out cover, but happy with quality.

old fan differed in that it had moulded in lugs to distance it from backplate, new one had no lugs so I had to adapt by supergluing spacers on to achieve a fit, fiddley job but it works fine now

not really universal 10 July 2016
sorry but although i did fit it to my indesit cooker, the spindle was to long which turned a 15 minute job into an hour as i had to adapt it. Once fitted the oven fan guard didnt fit back on and there was no way to reduce the length of the spindle so i had to put metal plates at the back to bring the spindle backwards.

"Universal" fitting fan? 29 January 2016
Mounting holes lined up ok, the fan shaft was about 20mm longer than the original. You don't realise until you've fitted the fan and try to reinstall the inside cover, which fouls the fan blades. So fan motor back off and fitted Spacers. Okay in the end but not without problems, extra parts and ingenuity. Espares service is great and maybe I should've returned it but the oven was in bits and so was the wife!

Like other customers I discovered that the shaft on this fan was too long and although managed in the end to fit it to my oven with some clever use of some nuts, bolts and a few washers that did the trick. If it wasn't for the fact that the shaft was too long it would have been a easy fix.

Fan spindle too long 02 October 2015
The fan spindle was a touch too long for my appliance (Delonghi fan oven). It meant the fan blades fouled the guard, so I had to leave it off. Not ideal, but no other choice.

Universal Oven Fan Motor 31 July 2015
Take out the old one and measure the shaft length. This universal unit does not fit the 32/2 fitted oven. As the Hotpoint oven was fitted in my kitchen I wanted to take it out, fix it and put it back in one go so I bought this Universal Fan. Now I have an oven sitting on a workbench in the middle of my kitchen and the motor is on its way back to E spares. The motor looked ok but as I noticed the shaft length difference I never fitted it so cant comment on its performance.

This part for my Lamona double oven was delivered quickly, and as always there service is good from espares. However it was no easy task getting this to fit, it had to be modified considerably and also the back of the oven.

Not a bad replacement 11 April 2017
Once installed the fan worked great and was well worth the money. However the spindle was slightly longer than the original so I had to make a spacer to keep the spatter guard away from the fan (extra hours work). Makes me think I should have spent the extra £ and bought the original part.
