  This seal system is not a direct replacement for the original. However, with careful drilling of two new holes at each end of the upper seal and cutting out the original side seals, new seals have been successfully installed. The 'hooks' on the corner pieces of the new seals are a bit short and needed careful bending to be certain they would hold securely. Fitting does require some above average handyman skills.

  Once I had watched the video it was quite easy. I don't think the enclosed paper instructions are very good because my oven is a different size to the ones printed.

  first ever door seal buy 20 December 2012

  great value for money. Too fiddlely for me to fit, but my husband managed, he's a trades man though. Door now a little hard to shut, probably should have bought shaped one, but not products fault, very impressed with seal.

  Very easy to fit 09 November 2012

  I followed the online video and the door seal was very easy to fit. I couldn't find a replacement seal for my De Longhi oven so was pleased to find a Universal kit. It's a bit tight taking the oven shelves out as the seal is obviously different to the old one but that's a minor inconvenience. There was enough seal left over to replace an additional top seal which the De Longhi oven has.

  2nd attempt at ordering the right seal............this was the correct one and fitted it myself really easily AND there's lots left should the seal break down in a few years. Only problem, remembering where I've put the spare bit!!

  Doesn't fit my oven :( 26 September 2012

  Bought this for my Baumatic oven (model # BC145SS) as the info said it would fit. My own fault for not checking but although it has the 4 holes in each corner, where the seal sits is rounded thus having a square seal wouldn't work. Apart from that, you get loads of it and it was quick delivery and cheap!

  I live in France and my extra-large oven, which I've had for 12 years, is no longer made, nor are spares available. After much frustration, I found your site and bought the universal oven door seal kit. Not only was it incredibly cheap; a huge length of seal was provided which I was able to cut to my requirements. I had to fabricate an extra 'hook' for the centre-top seal as the oven is 40cm wide. The only drawback is that the seal is a bit thin for the upper horizontal as, it turns out, the centre fixing is higher than the outside corners so it doesn't give a 100% seal. However, it is far better than the worn-out seal it replaced and 100% better than nothing, which is all the French suppliers came up with! Working out how to cut the 45 degree corners was a bit of a fiddle: which way the corner fixings faced, which side of the seal is towards the oven, but once one corner was worked out the rest was easy. Measurement information was accurate andI have a good length left over in case I need to replace a section.

  Although not a replacement for the original this seal is more than good enough for the job. Care has to be taken when fitting the corner clips because once in they cannot be removed without damaging the seal! In hindsite I could, with great care, have used the original corner clips that would have given me a continuous rounded corner seal. We have a single double oven and I did manage to fit the top centre clip into the seal. There was no sag at that point but over time it could weaken as did the original
