  Did not fit my Rangemaseter range oven - check whether the corners are rounded - if so it is unlikely to fit. Also, making a good seal in the corners is tricky.

  Our oven is a Hotpoint SY56X. We followed the selection process and chose this universal seal to save money, but on attempting to fit it I found that it didn't fit at all. Whilst the quality and value of the seal seems good and I daresay it would have been if it had have been for the correct oven. I appreciate that on the video it shows that it would not have fitted - on the written description it showed it wouldn't necesarily fit, as our oven has rounded corners. These warnings are not highlighted or made clear enough but blend in with all of the writing. You would have had to have been looking for these details to have even noticed the differences. I feel that this universal seal should not be advertised for this oven as it clearly is unsuitable. Therefore not sold fit for purpose.

  unfortunately the universal seal wasn't universal - it didn't fit our oven so we resorted to superglue and fixed the old seal back together.

  The product is not a suitable replacement for the orriginal part as it does not fit the oven frame, consequently providing a poor seal and causing dificulty with removal and placement of oven trays

  Not for the Bosch oven 25 January 2009

  My Bosch Oven seal has square corners at the bottom of the seal but curved at the top. This product comes with 4 x 90 degree clips and you cut the rubber into 4 strips. This did not fit my oven at the top. but I managed to fix the bottom broken seal with it, using the original seal at the top by using the new fixings at the sides
