Exactly what was needed 18 May 2014
This handle was the exact replacement we needed when the handle on our mower cracked rendering it useless. We can now use the mower thanks to this replacement part.

Positioning Lever is a Bad Name 29 July 2013
Luckily, there is a photo on the web site otherwise no one would ever find this item. It's job on my mower is to switch on the mower. Therefore, SWITCH LEVER would be more appropriate. Oh, well... As far as quality goes, it was identical to the original and presumably will also break after a few years. So, not perfect. For a moulded plastic part it is expensive. It ought to last forever. It is pretty easy to fit except that the housing it lives in is upside down so you have to lay the mower on its back. Bad housing design but the lever goes in easily once you realise how to remove the old one. All in all I was quite satisfied.

An excellent service from eSpares ensuring that the part is delivered quickly to your door instead of travelling miles to a shop searching for a part only to be told, "can you call back they're on order". The handle on the mower is a weak point and it's only when the grass needs cutting that you find you need one in a hurry. I've tried many times to repair one with adhesives without success. I now have 2 spares ready for the next time one breaks, either mine or a neighbours.

If you need a new positioning lever for a Bosch Rotak 340ER lawnmower, then buy the part No ES1118186, It is exactly the same as the one you require, though the website will have you believe it' Not compatible, IT IS ! It's just black instead of red. Before purchasing i phoned E Spares to ask about compatibility, they said .. . It wasn't, but i knew from the pictures it looked correct, so i bought it anyway, and i'm very glad i did. Easy to fit and prompt delivery. Now my wife can cut the grass !!
