  Great product, it took 5 minutes to fit, just be careful you do not drop the retaining spring steel. This product was as good as the original. Espares is always my first point of call for bits and bobs. For how much this cost it saved me buying a new mower!!

  On/Off lever and safety switch on Elan mowers 04 June 2014

  This item is easy to fit, simply unscrew the X head screws and prise the old one out. The reason this item fails is the apallingy bad design of the 'safety switch', which tends to drop out whilst mowing for no real reason. Pressing the button does not really latch the lever and relies on friction to hold it in. So this encourages hard pulling on the lever which strains it, eventually breaking it off. A better action can result if you take off about one third of the spring under the button, (no more than this), so it is not trying to unlatch itself so hard, and the result is a much more reliable action, in spite of the poor design A pity, as the motor and grass cutting mechanism on my Elan32 is well engineered, but spoiled by poor design of several aspects of the rest of the unit. I shall not buy another Bosch/Qualcast mower.

  Great replacement 03 June 2014

  Product feels sturdy. Has additional braces on handle which original did not. But mine was splitting near the pivot so will see how this goes. Little difficult to remove the old but easy to fit new and saved me from blowing money on a new mower. Doesn't feel quite right on my Qualcast quad track. But does the job.
