  Fixed my old Qualcast lawnmower with a new postioning lever, saved me from buying a new lawnmower. Easy to fit and mower now works like new.

  The lever came really quickly - well done e-spares. I would endorse a previous reviewer's advice - after fitting the new lever, put a stop on the frame of the rake so that the pressure on the pivot point (where the old lever cracked) is lessened. I used an old bit of wine cork plus tape.

  this part was easy to replace, you have to use a little force to remove the old one, the new one just presses in to place, had more trouble keeping the switch & wires in place! just make sure the flat metal spring is in the right place.

  Excellent service. Well done espares! As a previous reviewer has said, this item fails due to a predictable stress fracture. As you pull the lever it makes contact with the switch and starts the motor, but there is further movement of the lever as you pull it tight against the machine handle. This extra movement is forcing the lever as it tries to bend and the repeated stress eventually breaks the weakest point which is at the pivot. I have fitted a small jubilee clip onto the handle of my mower to act as a stop. The screw is postioned so that the lever operates the switch but then has no further movement as it presses against the clip. It seems to work well.

  Lawnmower Positioning Lever 25 August 2009

  Previous lever showed predictable stress fracture, which makers must be aware of since a replacement part is available. Quality probably same as one that broke! Easy to fit, satisfied that no need to put item into repair shop for expensive remedy. Considering stress applied to this lever it ought to be made of metal.

  Great buy! 25 August 2009

  Relief to find a spare part instead of having to buy a new lawn mower.This is a good product and was quite easy to fit although it would have been nice to have a little instruction leaflet for reassurance. For example the old handle wouldn't come off and I was a little nervous about forcing it. Anyway after reading customer reviews I realised that it did come off with a little leverage.

  Lawnmower rescued 21 August 2009

  This lever on my mower had fractured at the pivot making the mower unusable. Replacement was simple and the mower works as before.
