  Simple but flawed 31 December 2012

  Straightforward basket, but one section too wide to support cutlery upright, so smaller items lay down and larger ones lay across each other. Can't understand why it's designed that way - no explanation on web site

  check dimensions first as this basket is rather large. it is around 30% longer than usual baskets taking away space for dishes. I should have checked dimensions first.

  This came up as a suggestion for my Hotpoint but it doesn't fit vertically through the front plate rack like the official Hotpoint one so I've had to put it horizontally at the back, which means that it's not as stable and also I've lost some space and can't put the additional plate rack up if I need it. Having said that, I can live with it as it is a lot cheaper than the official basket and is just as well made, but if you are fussy about that sort of thing then you might want to think carefully before buying this.

  This was a much better price than some of the dishwasher baskets. However it was difficult to fit th handle as it needed sone strength to get it to hold tightly

  Good quality basket, be aware that this does taper out at the bottom, measurements are given from the top so basket does not fit properly.Great product overall

  Its a basket! 30 January 2012

  Its a cutlery basket, what can I say? Its a basket that you can put the cutlery in and its cheaper than all the others. And it doesn't disolve in the wash either so great all round.

  This universal product is a bit smaller than the manufacturers one but a fraction of the price. It is ideal and being smaller allows more space for plates

  Could be better 21 November 2011

  The cutlery basket for the dishwasher is of reasonable quality but not very well designed, The bad points are as follows - It retains a lot of water after cycle which the original never and this water is then left on the work top after cutlery put away. The cutlery is still wet as a result of the water still being on the basket. The basket is not deep enough for me and the large compartment is not necessary to me. The reason why the cutlery basket is the most commonly replaced item is because the bottom of the basket is not man enough for the job. Apart from the above I will just have to put up with the water retention after the wash cycle and put away wet cutlery. Norman

  OK but why the big compartment? 10 October 2011

  I don't know why but this basket has a big compartment which is twice the width of the others. This causes the cutlery to fall sideways which impairs washing.
