  Easy Fix 24 October 2016

  Fairly obvious my pump had gone - loud grumbling noises on spin cycle, clothes still too wet and impeller slopping around in the bearings when the pump was removed. (you can probably check this without removing the pump - just take the fluff-filter out and you should see and feel the impeller) Espares recommended this replacement. Could see it was not Hoover, but the mounting holes looked the same so went for it. As usual, no regrets. popped straight in, three screws (Torx !!) and two push-on terminals. Fired straight up and everything back to normal. Access was probably the worst issue. I expect mine is like most models, with the pump right down at the bottom-front. Easiest way was to roll the machine on it's side (two-man job and use an old cushion to keep it off the tiles). No cover-plate on the bottom, so easy access.

  Fitting complicated by the fact that the existing push on electrical supply connector would not fit the new pump. The machine connector had to be modified to fit the new pump.

  Great replacement for an old machine which being a hot and cold fill works great with my Solar Thermal heating 14 June 2016

  With Solar Thermal heating I don't want to lose a machine with a hot and cold fill as they are difficult to get hold of. It was a 20 year old Candy machine which has been used for sports and gardening clothes etc. and has had a hard life. The motor was larger than the original so I had to modify some wiring. Result:- it works great and thanks for the usual great service
