Zorb cleaning powder 13 September 2013
I have a long-haired German Shepherd who always lies on the same area of carpet. Gradually it has discoloured and looks grubby, (the carpet, not the dog) so it was long past time it was dealt with. I applied Zorb to this general area and brushed it into the pile, leaving it to dry for 30 minutes as instructed. (The granules are moist when removed from the packaging, a bit like damp sand) I applied it by hand and immediately washed my hands. As I waited for the Zorb to dry, I began to experience minor irritation of my tongue and throat, and could feel very slight fumes building. It could only be the Zorb, so I went around and opened all the windows, and this lessened the problem. When the Zorb was dry, I vacuumed it up. It lifted easily with the vacuum and left no residue behind. The mark on the carpet was about 50% cleaner, which was very good for a first attempt. I will keep treating this area, and am confident it will come up good as new after a few applications. When I am applying the last treatment I will cover the whole carpet and give it a complete cleaning. I have no hesitation in recommending Zorb, but would caution you to open the windows BEFORE applying it, and wait elsewhere while it does its stuff. Incidentally there is no smell or residue of any kind left behind after using Zorb.
