  Cheaper than a new dryer 31 July 2017

  Bought this after reading the online diagnosis. Had to make a plate to fit it on as the old one was a clip in. Once fitted and connected the drier ran like new.

  The universal capacitor was easy to replace after watching the online video. The new capacitor was an instant fix and was a relief when I switched on the tumble dryer and it worked.

  i used the live chat to get the correct part gave them my model and serial number and hey presto the item was displayed on my screen ordered in 2 mins and delivered in 3 days. was east to fit as i watched the video on line.the dryer company hoover wanted £149 to come and fix it it cost me about £8 for part and i had it fitted in about an hour!!

  Repair cost only a fraction of a new tumble dryer 16 January 2017

  Replacing this capacitor made a massive difference to the working of our tumble dryer. The symptoms were - the drum and motor struggling to start. Very noisy in operation.And a burning smell because the fan was not operating from start. Also while you have the dryer stripped down clean all the dust from fans and ducts WATCH THE REPAIR VIDEO, IT HELPS

  The product was the right one for the job. Fitting was a little fidderdly as the base on the product ordered was fixed by a nut where as the old one was held in place by a clip. Overcame this and dryer fully operationally.

  Excellent money saving purchase 14 November 2016

  Identical part to the existing capacitor on my machine apart from the fixing threaded part. mine didn't have that but slid into a retaining plastic clip. it took only a little thought and a strong cable tie to fix in place. it would be worthwhile prospective buyers checking the fitment first on their own machine. for me it wasn't a problem and i would have given 5 stars all round if not for the fitting difference

  I had previously visited my local appliance electrical shop and they were of no help at all and because of that I looked up on the espare site, having used them in the past. Great result item in stick, next day delivery and was able to replace faulty capacitor and get appliance operating properly again..great result all round.

  Machine fixed a treat 22 August 2016

  It's a start capacitor for the motor, there isn't much I can say. If your tumble dryer drum isn't running, there's a reasonable chance the start capacitor has failed or just weakened. This is wired across the AC supply and helps get the motor started, it's that simple. The original may fit differently (some actually designed to click into place), but if necessary you can tie-wrap this secure in place. Spade terminals simply pull off the existing device and clip onto this one .. it's a piece of cake.
