Oven Lamp Replacement 23 January 2013
Had to replace the fitting as the bulb had broken off in holder. New product was perfect and although I had some difficulty removing screws in oven finally got there and its a good job.

fantastic help from the team at espares on firstly finding the part i was after, when the parcel arrived it was well wrapped, and damage free, fitting the part was a little fiddly but not impossible, a couple of screws,swap over the bayonet connecting wires and put back together. fairly straight forward. and it all works. Thank you Espares, as always im very satisfied.

tricky to get the old one out 10 December 2012
Lamp was ok to get to, beware when taking wires off of lamp connectors that the wires do not pull back into the cooker as then its take the back off (Lots more hassle). When you have taken off the wires the lamp is secured within a brass holder. this was the tricky bit trying to get the lamp out of the holder. I can't advise on how it came out in the end, but after a struggle it kind of twisted out. Th rest was plain sailing besides carefully reattaching the wires to the lamp without pulling back into the oven shell again.

Found the fitting of the assembly straight forward if not a bit awkward, push in connections make it easy to replace,even better the money saved in replacing it myself. Thank you e spares.

I intended to replace the bulb only, but on removing the old bulb it shattered in my hand. Needless to say it was easier to fit a new assembly than remove a broken bulb from the old one (and safer). This part is good quality and incredibly easy to fit. I took espares advice and photographed the wiring so I didn't get confused. I am a complete novice at electrical DIY, this was a piece of cake!!!

Only wanted the glass really but couldn't find the glass on it's own. Still, did the job and I've got the lampholder spare now if I ever need it.

easy to fit, trouble is bulb blew within 30 secs of turning it on, however espares are sending another free of charge. so fingers crossed

Now the missus can see when stuff is burning, instead of relying on the smoke detector. The old lamp assembly went bang and blew the 40A cooker fuse. So it wasn't just a question of replacing the bulb. This new assembly is exactly the same as the original (being a genuine Hotpoint spare) so it was easy to replace. Bonus to get a new bulb and glass cover. Excellent, a very satisfied customer.

I only needed the bulb, but bought the complete unit ready for if the time it may fail. 05 February 2013
It looks good value. Since I didn't replace the whole unit I cannot say whether it is good or bad. The only difficulty was in removing the glass lamp cover within the oven.
