  • I think it's the same as my cooker and I bought this one and fitted it myself. Try removing the old one first and make a note on which wire goes where, mine was red wire on the right hand side. Take photos and remember to take the plug out 1st. Then ya can compare the image to the one you have, michelle By skyblue26 - Liverpool - 17 May 2010

Answer this question

Hi there I am trying to replace the fan elements in my Smeg SUK91MFX oven but I am having some problems. The replacement coil (seen above) has two connectors like the old one, however each connector on the new one has two prongs (like the the one above), the old one just has a single prong (see image attached). How do I fit it? Many thanks! /malin

Answer this question

Hi, I am trying to remove the fan element beofre purchasing a new one to make sure that this is the issue. However, I can't remove the screws that are holding it in, I think that they are 5.5mm hex, but the socket keeps slipping and ruing the socket pieces as they are done up very tightly. I have tried 5mm and 7/32" but with no luck Has anyone else had that problem? (Just to check I am turning anti-clockwise :-)) Thanks,

  • Yes, it sounds like the fan element. Exactly the same thing happened to mine. Dead easy to fit. By suby - tunbridge wells - 23 October 2008
