Machine stops during cycle, water is being heated. So dont think it's the heating element. Is it overheating or is the thermistor faulty / control module?

Answer this question

I had a powersurge/powercut when the dishwasher was on. when power back on and my RCD reset the machine is flashing lights 2 and 4. When powering off and on I can reset by holding button P. The machine sounds like it is draining but then stops with lights 2 and 4 flashing again. A google search suggests this is the heater. help please

If the error lights suggest a faulty heater you should check this and replace if required as the machine may stop if it detects a fault.

the fault on my arisen bfi680 is that it finishes mid way through cycle with the 6th light flashing. the water feels warm but i wonder if it's not hot enough.

We believe the 'fault code' showing on your control panel is indicating that the machine does not think it has heated correctly. The element resistance is correct and not likely to be the problem. Check the wiring and control board for signs of burning or damage and replaced the board if required.

Hi there. With regard to the flashing lights, I can't tell you exactly what the problem is without knowing which lights are flashing. However, if the water is overheating, it sounds like a problem with most likely the thermostat. If it's not the 'stat causing the problem, it'll be the element or the PCB itself. To diagnose part is to blame, test each with a multimeter.
