The core drill you are looking at should be the correct size for the wall vent.

If your dryer on its exhaust outlet has a plastic connector with a screw thread on its inside to take the four inch/100 mm hose (we think it has). then yes this is all you may need.

It is likely that you will need the adaptor ring as well as this kit unless you already have a hose attached to your machine.

This is a 'universal kit, that is suitable for many appliances that use a 100mm duct. Your hood if it has a connecting spigot can couple onto it directly, If not it would have to be adapted to connect.

To elaborate: I wish to vent the dryer through a brick wall. I want the dryer to sit under a work surface and front flush with other units, the dryer's venting outlet would thus be very close to the wall, I'd want to create the hole it the wall directly aligned to the dryer's vent and then semi-permanently install the dryer almost "plugged-in" to the kit's internal apature

Hi GeorgeT, unfortunately I'm not nearly enough qualified to help you with your problem. I advise you ask a specialist on the subject before purchase.

Answer this question

I am intending to permanently vent my Hotpoint VTD20G tumble dryer. I came across this product of yours and was wondering if this will be suitable for venting it through a one brick wall.

Hi Gopunkhanna, this is just the kit you're looking for. Obviously though, only try and make the hole in your wall if you're 100% confident using heavy tools!
