you can try to use some lubricant to help move the bulb or use a towel around the bulb in case it breaks and a pair of water pliers to get a grip to unscrew it.

  • NO.... Why? The internal solder/weld in the bulb will melt - only rated to ~400 degrees C. 500 degree C rated bulbs do exist, but they are expensive. BUT, to save money u can do what I do, which is, use a cheaper Strangerlandreadily available bulb and remove it every time u do a pyro clean. They r easy to remove and in the process u can clean the glass bulb cover. Note: the pyro cleaning function does a great job of cleaning the metal surfaces, but only a mediocre job of cleaning glass. U r better off cleaning the inside of the glass door and the bulb cover manually before u bake the crap on with the pyro heat. By Anonymous - Australia - 28 January 2015

I have a Kenwood oven (ckbu 300) which is 3 years old and the bulb needs changing. I know I have to unscrew the light bulb cover to remove the old bulb but it will not move. Any ideas?

Hi scottt, replacing the oven lamp is a simple case of removing the lamp cover, then unscrewing the old one. The lamp cover may also be threaded; if not, try using a blunt tool to help you lever it away.
