This is not suitable, it is not a 'wet' vacuum and will be destroyed and potentially dangerous if water enters it.

This could be suitable for short periods of use but we would not recommend it for running periods of over 20 minutes at a time as may overheat and damage.

Am thinking of buying one as a 'useful' Christmas present. Does it have a guarantee, if so what, and what is your returns policy in event of product being considered 'unwanted' or 'unsuitable' 1 Answer

I like multi purpose machines, could this double as a dust extractor for a bench saw/router table?

Although this could be used for collecting sawdust it is only designed for short use periods.
I always do my own chimney sweeping. As we live out in the country, we use standard coal - not smokeless - so there is always a lot of soot when I do the annual chimney sweep. Most of the soot is shovelled into a bucket, but I need a really well filtered vacuum cleaner to clean up the residue. Soot particles are extremely fine, so I need something that will completely filter them out of the exhaust but will not clog. Is this the tool for me?

This is suitable for fine ash so should be suitable for 'dry' soot.
Wnen maintaining a Oil fired boiler can it be used for removing oily soot generated inside an oil fired boiler 1 Answer

We have no experience of this but depending on how oily it would probably be one of the most suitable vacuums. Oily residue may quickly clock any filtering so we would advise using the disposable bags and replacing them often.
