URGENT HELP PLEASE - I managed to remove the control knobs and got the old fascia off but find at the back of each individual red indicator there are 4 tiny "butterfly" type wings (like a miniature dart) which prevent me from passing them through the hole to get them off the old fascia, without breaking them. The front of the red indicator is flat like a "smartie" and cannot pass through either. Any suggestions please?

The 'butterfly wings' need to be carefully closed to enable them to return through the fascia hole. Take a photo of the wiring for reference if you have to disconnect any wiring.

It is normal for cooker knobs to be 'difficult' to remove as they are a push fit that tend to stick with age. Try using a flat blade such as a paint scraper to gently prise away from the control panel taking care not to mark the facia.
