  • I have the same problem! I just want to know how to get the safety lock which is jammed undone so I can order the correct item.. By oldieone - Swindon - 06 July 2013
  • I too have had great difficulty with Karcher, I have tried 'phoning them, emailing and snail mail without success. When my steam cleaner works it is perfect but very difficult to obtain follow up from Karcher. I am just about to order a steam cleaner safety lock and gasket and hope for the best. The cap on this steamer is designed to 'unlock' and turn freely when hot and re engage when cool. If it has 'failed' and needs replacing it may be necessary to destroy it to remove. Try carefully drilling through the plastic cap near the edge and wedging a small screwdriver through to lock onto the threaded part to try and remove it.
