Hi our main oven has stopped working the oven fan works but the thermostat light at the front when selecting the oven setting does not light, it lights intermittently on another selection. there is also cold air being blown just out of the top of the main oven. can you tell me what you think it could be?

You will need to test the element and the selector switch with a multimeter.

If the oven thermostat light is coming on and the oven is heating check the thermostat is cycling which turns the light off when it has reached temperature, if it is overheating it may also be the overheat thermostat.
