Answer this question

is it likely a faulty stat in my main oven that causes the following.I turn on main fan oven to 150 , when oven reaches temp according to display I check my meter that i have put inside the oven. it reads 133. The oven relay clicks off and the temp starts to drop to about 118 before it clicks in again, whereupon the temp increases to about 133 and the the cycle starts again

It is normal for many thermostats to be out by 10% but check at your normal cook temperatures (180c 200c) if it is significantly out after the oven has been pre heated and is clean then consider changing the thermostat. Note many thermostats are close to the element and therefore will read differently to the centre of the cavity especially when first started.

Answer this question

Main oven will get hot, but not come up to set temperature while fan is running. If you turn control onto normal oven, the oven comes up to temperature but takes ages. I have replaced the thermostat on main oven, but still have the same fault.
