It may be possible to find an alternative but we have not been informed of one suitable by the manufacturers.

the plastic ring has broken and occasionally falls off, and looks ugly. I don't need the complete assembly, can I buy just the part of it that I need?

This lamp we believe is non repairable and has to be replaced as a single unit. To do this access the back of the lamp assembly and push in the plastic 'wedges' that have expanded around the edge of the light and are holding the light in position to allow it to drop out of the hood. Disconnect the old and reconnect the new lamp and simply push into place.
