I have a new glass panelled kitchen door and can't get the varnish stains off where we acidentally painted over the wood plinths when we stained the inside of it. I've tried scrubbing it but as it's water soluble it starts to lift the varnish off too.

Hi EmilyLQ, this scraper is suitable for glass and ceramic hobs. You could use it on your windows I suppose, but you'd do so at your own risk!
